A Laptop Warranty Review For New Computer Owners

A new laptop is always a joy to use. Saving your hard earned money just to get the laptop you have always wanted is the ultimate reward for yourself. Imagine yourself opening the box and turning that power button on. It does give you a certain rush right? That is how I feel every time I buy a new laptop for myself. The happiness I feel is overwhelming. Naturally, I want to protect my laptop right? So, I got a laptop warranty for my investment and voila! No more worries.

A Laptop Warranty Review

Before I give a review on the laptop warranty service I bought, I want to tell you that before I purchased my laptop warranty, I scoured the internet day and night to read on laptop warranty reviews and other laptop insurance tips made by credible reviewers and joined several forums to post my questions. Having said that, let me tell you about my choice – Squaretrade.

First and foremost, I decided on buying from a third party warranty provider because the manufacturer’s warranty that I got was not satisfactory. It covers the usual problems but not the accidental damages that my laptop may encounter. Squaretrade is my choice because it has the highest consumer rating among all others. But that is not all. There are more reasons why I decided on Squaretrade. Here are the perks I got from my laptop warranty:

1. For less than $200, I get 3 years of coverage from the date of purchase. This is way below than what I expected. Most warranties are overpriced but Squaretrade has the right price for its packages. I even got a coupon code from one of the review sites that I stumbled upon.

2. My coverage includes accidental damage from handling like drops, spills and other accidents. I also get extended coverage of the manufacturer’s warranty including all mechanical and electrical problems that arises from normal use.

3. There is no deductible for any claim. Squaretrade has waved all deductibles for all its clients unlike those from their competitors.

4. I get free shipping to their depot if and when my laptop needs to be repaired or replaced.

5. I get a 5-day guarantee or my money back. If it takes longer than 5 days for them to fix or replace my laptop, they will refund the cost of my warranty.

Although Squaretrade does not cover lost or stolen laptops, I have the choice to cancel my warranty and receive a refund in case it happens. Calculations will be base on the remaining months of my warranty. If I am to believe other reviews about Squaretrade, I know that I will have a hassle free claiming process if the need arises.

So, did I make the right choice or not? I did right? Get to know more about Squaretrade from other laptop warranty review sites like the following...

You will definitely be persuaded to buy from Squaretrade the next time you buy a new laptop.
